Ted O'Brien is a Pennsylvania Licensed Acupuncturist with over ten years professional experience in the healing arts. He began his training in Oriental Medicine in 1995 at the New England Institute for Integrative Acupressure. He is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts at Amherst (B.S. Human Nutrition, 1993) and the Maryland Institute for Traditional Chinese Medicine (Master's, Acupuncture, 1999) in Bethesda, Maryland.
Ted has also undergone extensive clinical training working as assistant to a White House Commission on Complimentary and Alternative Medicine Policy member. In this capacity, Ted has worked with hundreds of patients using acupuncture and Chinese herbs treating mostly pain related disorders such as fibromyalgia, arthritis, back pain/sciatica, carpal tunnel syndrome and joint pain. Ted also acts as a consultant at the George Washington University Center for Integrative Medicine.
